Ambulatory Blood Pressure Systems

Burdick is a world leader in ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) monitoring. Many physicians are using ABP to detect "white coat" hypertension and to adjust drug therapy for hypertensive patients.

Hundreds of independently published studies confirm the reliable usage of the Burdick Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor sold by Burdick for pediatric, adolescent, adult and elderly populations. Successful usage has likewise been documented in diabetic, pregnant, renal and transplant populations. For more information on hypertension Burdick recommends:

Model 90207 and 90217 ABP Monitors

Our ABP monitors are among the smallest and lightest weight on the market today, with advanced reporting software that allows rapid analysis of patient information. Extensive testing by independent clinicians has validated ABPM accuracy time and time again, making them widely recognized as the "gold standard" for ABP.

Both the 90217 Ultralite and 90207 ABP monitors feature a compact, lightweight design that optimizes patient comfort -- a key factor in successful ABP monitoring. Comfort helps ensure patient compliance and, consequently, may decrease the number of artifactual readings.
  • Averaging 3 testes per week, system can be paid for within 6 months
  • Collects measurements for a period of 24 hours or up to 8 days
  • Lightweight recorder operates quietly for patient comfort
  • Oscillometry measures systolic, diastolic and mean blood pressure
  • No chest electrodes or microphones reduce operating costs
  • Uses a real-time clock to facilitate diary notations

Report Management System

The ABP Model 90121-1 Report Management System facilitates in-depth statistical analysis by allowing direct cabling of the monitor to a standard IBM-compatible computer. The system operates under Microsoft Windows Versions 3.1X up to Windows XP Pro. New features include ASCII file transfer and raw data cut and paste capability. On-screen calipers facilitate the selection, viewing, analysis, and printing of specific time periods throughout the day and night. Remote communications capability permits telephone modem transfer from outlying locations.

Report Generator/Printer

The Model 90239A Ambulatory Blood Pressure Report Generator/Printer offers an alternative interface to those customers who may prefer not to utilize a computer to program and download data from the 90207 and 90217 monitors. Reports can be printed directly from the internal thermal printer or sent to an external printer for larger format copies.
